Holy shit Florida is a long haul, we got back yesturday at noon, Yeah I know, that's early. Kyle and Troy red lit in the first round. Both had severe traction problems. We think we have Troy's figured out, Kyle will need a new valve job on the shocks and a ladder bar adjustment. Running 9.00 at 165mph doesn't add up does it, LMFAO. They both will be running low 8's for sure this year.
Donnie came in 2nd with the world fastest NPS Gremblin, he also most won, it was a close one. We were able to pull 3 tenths out of his car over the 3 days we worked on it. His best time was 7.779 with a 1.14 60 ft time. His best run ever in the car. A 4.990 in the 1/8 also!!! Oh and the best thing is it's all naturally aspirated, no nitrous for him.
Butch Kemp won ProStock, his best was in the 8.70 range, hats off tho those guys, they worked their butts off for it!!
I'm tired and I'm sun burnt...... Bad, LOL.

Great to meet you Susie!! Also it was nice to see Rita again, sorry we didn't get to visit more, we were very busy. I got to meet a bunch of
other people from GoFastZone.com also, which was nice. You know Jeff
Prock is an amazing person, we never stops amazing me with his knowledge of drag racing, not only nitrous tuneups, but chassis stuff as well. His comments on a couple things were 110% right on the money, I'm glad to be a very good friend of his and have him in my corner when I get started racing very soon!!

Glad to hear you made it home safe and sound Brian... It was good seeing you again also... I think the last time I had seen you was right after christmas when you and carol called and came to the house and we went out to the bar and played pool... Wow... the memories huh?
But we are in for making a bunch of new memories for sure. Hope to see Carol at one of these races... Tell her I said hi...

Hey Brian... I did not know that you were in kahoots with Rayburn. Did you know that prior to this weekend we were 0-4 with him? I guess you could say that he was our gremlin. That car is CRAZY. I think it is cool that he went that route with that car and has come a long way in the last couple of years. It was so nice to meet everyone this weekend. I don't mean to hijack your post brian but I figure that I would let everyone know how our weekend went. In XS Dave could not keep the Blazer on the ground. He qualified #10 in a 22 car field. He put on quite the show for the spectators with the wheel stands. Unfortunetly this also cause a first round lose. NPS was nice. We had 14 cars show. Tony qualified 1 and Mom 10. First round was a win for Tony 7.72 @177.65 to 12.21. Mom ran a 8.43 to a 7.92 however she advanced cause the other guy was dq'd for a rule infraction. 2nd Tony had a bye. We were running a new trans and new tires and the car did not like the tires. There was major tire shake and alot of heat on the motor so he did not complete the pass. I guess this caused a bit of contraversy but I can honestly let you know that he did hurt the motor. Oh yeah the contravesy... in the previous round mom hurt the trans and was not ready for the call. Some people said that Tony stalled on purpose to buy time. I wish this was the case... then they would not have had to thrash on the motor again... so now Mom gets to the starting line (only right after the crew guy in the other line had a few "choice" words to say). I wish that you all could have been there. She drove that car like ... words can not explain it. She left hard and fast. She won the round with a 7.93 to 8.98. This was the first time that the motor ran on nitrous and it hurt the motor... we were not able to fix it there. She was supposed to meet tony in the next round and did not make the call so he had the bye into the final against Rayburn. He ran a 7.73 @ 178.89 to rayburns 7.90 @ 172.28. Tony is now 3 for 3 at Bradenton :) So we got everything packed up and ready to go. Stopped and took showers and went to eat. It was about 10 and the boys got on the road and we went to the hotel. So Monday morning we get up and get on our way. We get to the beach and I think it was one of the most distrubing phone calls I have answered. It was Billy (my step dad / crew cheif) he asked for my mom. I could tell something was wrong. I watched my mom as she was talking to him and the first thing that she said "is everyone okay" at that point I knew what happened. They got into and accident. They were in tennesse somewhere and they were following a semi. There was a car that thought that she needed to be in between the semi and the trailer. When the semi slammed on his brakes so did the car and the trailer. Thank GOD that Billy was thinking and did not plow right into the car. I guess he tried to get around the car but did not have enough room and still ran into the car and the semi. They said that the car looked like and accodian and the driver had to climb out of the passengers side. She walked away with a scratch. I am grateful that Bill did not just slam into her cause the outcome may have been different. So the toter is bad. The motor is in the drivers compartment and there is some damage to the trailer. Thankfully the boys do a good job of strapping every thing down in the trailer and nothing was damaged. A caravan of trailers went there to pick up the cars and all the equipment. The insurance company had already said that they are going to total both the units. Oh yeah the boys are OK they are bumped up a little bit but no one was injured.

Sorry to hear about the problems, that's assame. Scott Marrison from DTS has been helping out Donnie for a year or so now, He also helps out Troy and Kyle, so I guess you could say there are 3 DTS sponsored cars.
We all help each other. There is still a couple tenths in Donnie's car yet to find for sure. Now it's time for me to get into the garage so there are four DTS cars, and when Scott gets his Chevelle back from the RaceFab, there will be five DTS cars, 4 X/S and 1 NPS. :)

LOL, I know, I was talking specifically about NMCA.
You ought to run the Columbus event with us. It's in 3 weeks, good practice for you and you'll probably win also :D
