Well seems we have a set of rules for the new NPS class. They seems OK to me at this point. I see Kevin and some of the others might be a "bit" heavier this year. I think NSCA PUTZ (BUDDMAN) and Tony did a good job. I feel this set of rules we can all live and "work" with. I'm a little heavier as well, but whatever. PLans are to be at a few selected (read near home) events like the Mich. and Finals. Johnny B. Kevin, and anyone else in this class, good luck and see you at a different Christmas tree this year.

Just looking over the rules a bit more. Now with the 632 you need to be 3300 lbs. PLUS 100 for tube chassis, PLUS 100 for 2 carbs, MINUS 75 for Nova body style? Is this correct. 3500 lbs -75 = 3425 lbs. WOW. :?

3475 lbs. minus 50 if you use an O.E.M. trans also so you should be 3425 on the MINIMUM!!!, Therefore with a really good 632....you can easily kick my ass!

.........................NOT! :D

Johnny B. your a guy gau, but man you need math help. 3300 base for the motor combo. 100 for the tube chassis, 100 for the 2 X 4 carbs. That's 3500 lbs. minus the 75 for the earlier style Nova. That's how I got to 3425. Now if there is another 50 got the T400, than 3375. Let's not make Kevin's job any easier. LOL. John, what will you be weighing in at? 2800 is the lightest you can be with the 444 no matter what. I on the other hand will be in the will be in the 2950 range, if I can get down to that. We'll see how things pan out. But at this time, will still be looking at the 3200 that it weighs. Good luck to all whoi get involved, JOHN

..........OOOOPS!.... , But as it stands now, I might be using a 496ci bullet, ....so let's see if I don't f#ck this up ...LOL,

496 -450= 46x4= 184lbs.+ 2900= 3084lbs. -75(aero) -50(trans.)=2959lbs. therefore using a power to weight formula below

2959 lbs. / 1488hp=1.99x yx(.333) = 1.26 x 5.825= 7.32e.t.
(496x3hp)

Merry Christmas

Johnny, you and me shall be equals. I'm using a 499. 7.32 Ummmm. Motor has gone 7.0's in a 2450 lbs car on nuts, with a lenco and 2 X 4 sheetmetal. So a .32 might not be TOO far off.
