Just in case anyone was wondering, the idoits at the NSCA (Hey- I resemble that comment...) haven't decided they hate all things NPS or SM and want to destroy both to save a buck.

It seems pretty obvious the classes don't work as they are, there are more defectors than new arrivals. We only wish to shake things up and get to a faster, more representative place- one that better reflects the quality of these cars. The 7.50 limit was awesome when no one could really get there due to the weight... We finished the first year in the upper 7.70's, the guy was using a 42 pill. Now that limit is an albatross.

SM is perhaps the closest, best class we have. Stable sponsorship has been there in the form of DTS and we wish to simply move them to the new 'Pro' ranks as the NPS sponsor (nice perk for a good company). The problem is everyone is leaving for SS. If we stop and count, you'll see what I mean. We don't want to ruin SM, we think (as does Baio, Lursky, Huber, and more) the two can be better faster and more colorful.

Time changes everything, even cool classes like SM and NPS that pulled 25 cars EACH at one time. The rules haven't changed; the cost of going fast has.

BTW, This whole issues has been hashed and rehased on the NSCA website. What happen to car counts, some folks where willing to pay the price to be competitive, others where not, so car counts suffered. Are there people to blame, well of course, there always is. But it's all about who shot Johnny. The fact remains, Johnny is dead and you can't put the genie back in the bottle.

I figured you'd figure out who the Putz was pretty quick.

I didn't mean to rehash or clog this BB with a tired topic. I just felt it was needed- you know, to say 'off the record' off of our site that we still really dig what Kevin, Monty (even though they're 10.5's) and all these guys do.

I've been catching a lot of heat over this and it's getting a little hot in the kitchen, get my drift? I dunno- I thought spouting off a little about how cool it still is would be awright. Kevin's car was one of the ones I used to RUN to see after those 7's in Reynolds. Old Skool.

Now, I just run away from him.

We're keeping her. we had 3 bites, no one panned out. We wanted a LOT, we knew it, but the car has been on the money for us, and we were throwing in a lot. Now, we're gonna give her a big fat ol' update.

Shop is SLAMMED. Love it!
