The brood of vipers has struck again! I don't know why I encourage Tony to even try to work with those people on the west coast...

Mark...you encourage cause you see good in everyone.....unfortunately, in this case, they don't know how to show their goodness.
Don't fret......think of it as part of your work!
Yea, I know, but I feel I was used again (yea this ain't the first time) to help them try and hurt Tony. I don't take kindly to that... but worse, God does not take kindly to His people being abused.
I have never had a thing against any of the folks at PRO, not their staff or their racers or anybody associated with them, I still don't. But this much I can tell you, I will shake the dust from my sandals and move on. All I can say is God help them, they're going to need it...

All,
Just off the Phone with Scott Sparrow from PRO/NMCA. Scott has taken great exception to my comments from earlier today. After discussing my post with him I will apologize for the perception that I was insinuating they may all be going to hell. That was never the intent of my post and if that's how it was read, then that was wrong. Since no one has the ability to see into a mans heart I can not say they are going to hell. I have no right to judge them or anyone, that's God's business. I spoke out of my heart and the perception I have from all the stuff that I've seen happen over the years. No excuse, just the facts as I've seen them. I will say this, if you guys do know Jesus, you sure are not giving the perception of representing Him in a very good light. Is it a perception or reality?
For 7 years, I've watched Tony Depillo get the hell beat out of him by the old NMCA, then PRO, with both organizations trying to run the NSCA out of business. All the while doing this at great personal expense. Now that statement may seem harsh, but that's my perception based on all I have watched over those 7 years. I am an extremely observant person. I may not always say a lot about a given situation, but that does not mean I am uninformed. As the old saying goes, one man's perception is another man's reality. On many occasions I vehemently argued against the thought or perception PRO/NMCA was out to get the NSCA. Remember, I was on YOUR side.
I won't get into the whole "who shot Johnny" on the Maple Grove date because the story IS very different from what I've been told by parties of both associations. I have no reason to doubt either of the parties I've spoken with, however if I'm going to believe anybody, it's the people I've sweated and toiled with for 7 years. Right, wrong or indifferent that's how I see it. If they profess to know Christ and His influence is shown by their countenance, well who would you trust?
So what does this all mean, well I don't really know. But this much I do know, God knows the truth. Examine your heart...
Scott remember, Charlie called Jimmy looking for help. Jimmy called me and asked me to help broker the truce. I was reluctant because of the deal over the NMCA name from last year. However after talking with him and realizing he, Jimmy, was willing to put his reputation on the line, I saddled up with him. This meant I was also putting my name and our ministries reputation on the line as well. That's why I was at Memphis, you know that. I am a no great knower of truths or exceptional person, merely a man that has been forgiven much for his past transgressions and is now trying to pay that back in some small way through thankful service to his Lord and Savior.
We, Jimmy and I, while having never initiated any of this have been left holding the bag. Is that right old friend... you tell me. To that end, I will remove myself from any further attempts to broker any truce or cease fire between the org's.
For Charlie and any of the other folks at Pro/NMCA who have issue with me or what I'm saying, hear this, "Christ teaches we reap what we sow in life. If we sew love and compassion, we reap love and compassion. If we sew hatred, anger and deception we reap those same things."
Convince me you are sewing love and compassion... just a thought.
God bless,
Mark Walter, Senior Chaplain
