I HAVE A 1972 NOVA WITH A 402/350 TURBO, THE ENGINE SPECS ARE AS FOLLOWS (VERY MILD) 10.1 COMPRESSION, STOCK SMALL VALVE OVAL PORT HEADS #3904390, RPM INTAKE, 750 HOLLY ANNULAR, RPM CAM KIT, CSI WATER PUMP, 2" HEADERS, R45XLS AC PLUG, GRIFFEN 1" TUBE RADIATOR, LARGE SINGLE BE COOL ELECTRIC FAN.

I AM RUNNING A LITTLE RICH, 160 HI FLOW STAT, AND I'M RUNNING 195 - 225 DEGREE'S AFTER ABOUT 15 MINUTES OF RUNNING.

THE TRANS THAT I HAVE IN THE CAR IN STOCK WITH A SHIFT KIT ONLY I DIDN'T WANT TO PUT MY COAN IN UNTIL I HAVE EVERYTHING ELSE TAKEN CARE OF.

ANY IDEA'S, I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT I NEED TO PUT A DIFFERENT WATER PUMP ON AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM, I JUST DONT SEE HOW THAT WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE CSI FLOW MORE WATER THAN A MOROSO OR ONE OF IT'S TYPE

THANKS PHIL

Check timing
Purge all the air out of the system
Make sure the fan is turning the right way. It should be pulling the air from the rear of the radiator to the motor
Try a product called Kwik Cool
Buy a small block :D

THANKS MONTY, I'VE CHECKED ALL THOSE LAST NIGHT HOWEVER I DID FIND SOMETHING, I HAVE A MAJOR VACUUM LEAK LOCATED AT THE INTAKE AND THE CARB.

I ALSO REPLACED THE GUTTED THERMOSTAT WITH A 5/8 RESTRICTOR LAST NIGHT JUST TO SEE IF ANY OF THISE WORK. I MAY HAVE TO RESET THE TIMING SEEING THAT I SET THE TIMING WITH THE VACUUM LEAK WHAT DO YOU THINK.

AND NO!!! IM JUST TRYING TO GET THE THING SET UP SO I CAN FINISH MY CONSTRUCTION MOUNT MY NEW SUSPENSION AND GET IT ALL ADJUSTED CLOSE WITH THAT UNDER POWERED LITTLE BIG BLOCK THEN PUT IN MY 496 .

BIG BLOCK THE WAY I SEE IT RIGHT NOW MONTY YOU HAVE MORE CUBES THAN I DO, SO I ALREADY HAVE A SMALL BLOCK.

I HAVE A GIFT FOR YOU FROM OUR GROUP THAT I WILL GIVE TO YOU ON SATURDAY THAT THEY WANTED TO GIVE YOU FOR BRING YOUR CAR DOWN

Any new luck with the restrictor plate?? You may just be running the coolant through the radiator to fast and not allowing it to cool off before it goes back into the motor....Like Monty said make sure to purge all the air out of the system....Good luck
