Well at least the weather was good. I was having trans problems all weekend. I thrashed Saturday night, 10 beers later and boom it worked. Saturday morning in the first round I was running the 11.25 index in American Muscle, I had a .005 light and ran a 11.251 for the win, I thought this was going to be a good day.......well........on my way to the second round I had no second gear, staged anyway hoping fo that lucky red light.....not to be, pack it up and go home. Even with the problems still had a blast. Kevin it was nice to see you......we'll go get them at Milan. we are going to test there on Saturday June 5 if you are interested.
Jim

Hey Jim, I did get to see your 1st round victory. Good for you. :D :D :D Sorry to hear about the trans second round. It was nice to get out with the car. I am going through my whole car seeing that the bump steer was way off causing me to nearly hit the wall. :x :x I will be out testing, I'm just not sure when. Nice talking to ya in Md. Kevin

Ya, I was really pulling for you, I was at the finish line for your first round. The car launched good but I saw you drift, thought uh oh and then it seemed to recover, I got excited (my wife was looking at me knida funny beacause I was yelling so loud) and thought the car would pull it out, you were ahead by about 2.5 car lenghts when you got out of it. Good luck next time, new chassis blues, after having a couple tube chassis bracket cars, I am really starting to like this stock suspended stuff. Take care. Jim

I qualified #3 with a 7.74 and .12 behind #1 qualifier. Monty qualified 2nd to last. Seeing that my bump steer, pinion angle and 4-link instant center were not correct, I think I am going in the right direction. Hey Mikho, you only need to find a 1/2 of a second!!!!! :D :D :D

Sounds like things are coming along ok for both of you guys having new cars (chassis)! What IC do you run, Kevin. Was it that far off or was that and the pinion angle just overlooked. How did your car handle Monte? Is the new motor working out for you?

On a different note...did anyone notice the motor size of the top 2 qualifiers in Monte's class?? Those damn dump truck motors sure do run.

It's been so quiet around here that I just had to add that in...

Well, somehow it had 3*up pinion angle and a long 64" i.c. not to mention the 2 1/2 "s of bump steer!!!! I 've got the bump steer down to 1/16" of toe, some down angle on the pinion, and a shorter i.c.. Guess I will have to wait till I test to see if it likes it??? :)

Daaaaaamn. It's a wonder the driveshaft stayed in it. That long IC along with the bump steer probably aided in the looseness down track. I think the P-angle should be about 1/2 degree down.

With my crude gauge, I think it is 1* down.

BUT...I think Kevin had a much better light  ...sooooooooo....Wasn't it you, Monte, that was talking about cutting lights? heh Just joking around...Don't ya'll go getting your panties all wadded up!
