Went racing sunday, now I have PROOF that I am the slowest person on the board lol. I went to Woodburndragstrip for opening day. There were lots of people there, I got 3 runs in which was my 2nd time at the race track ever. It was alot of fun. Here are my times/combo:

385 stroker, stock 400rods/bolts(polished beams), 268XE Comp cam retarded 5*, cylinder heads off a school bus lol 1.72/1.5 valves 3 angle valve job with lots of porting, 1.6/1.52 rockers Performer RPM intake, Performer 600 cfm carb, 1 5/8" headers into 2.5" with an X pipe and hooker aero flows, 3.50 gears, TH350

R/T .483 100 % street trim!
60’ 2.326 1.72”/1.5” valves!
330’ 5.878 No slicks or drag radials!
1/8 8.767 Full tank of gas and tools in the trunk
MPH 84.93 No burnout
1000’ 11.290 Stock torque converter!
¼ 13.431 Single track!(Furd posi clutches completely worn out)
MPH 105.17

R/T .082 No air cleaner
60’ 2.130 Did a burnout and left @ 1,500rpm’s
330’ 5.576
1/8 8.540
MPH 81.77
1000’ 11.138
¼ 13.355
MPH 101.27

R/T .095 No air cleaner
60’ 2.085 Did a burnout and left @ 1,750rpm’s
330’ 5.569
1/8 8.604
MPH 77.07
1000’ 11.434
¼ 13.904
MPH 89.19
ON ALL RUNS THE FUEL WAS CUTTING OUT ESP ON RUN 3(crappy Napa electric fuel pump)

I am REALLY happy that I hit those times with my crappy heads.
Fixing my rear end so I actually have posi track, getting rid of the 600cfm dead broke for a 780cfm Holley, changing the torque converter, and maybe going to an electric water pump and upgrading to a fuel pump that flows more should put my daily driver well into the 12’s for sure!

Thats not that slow. My car is sitting in pieces, SO your way faster. Sounds like you had a good time. It was snowing here in Chicago today but I'm looking forward to getting to the track soon.

One question for you though. Why are you using an electric fuel pump instead of mechanical? Especially Napa, lol ,just kidding, but I've replaced a lot of Napa fuel pumps for free in the last few years. We wont use them at all in our shop anymore.

Not bad at all considering those heads and no fuel. If you look close you'll see that you are stuck at 20mph on the top end in gain. Add that air flow and fuel you'll be hangin on !!
