It's easy Colleen, all you need to do is bid higher than the others bidding
Actually I know what you're getting at and it doesn't work like that anymore. If there is an item at lets say $20 and it says you have to bid at least $20.50 you can do so, but I basically would look at the item and say to myself I'm not willing to pay more than $30 for it, so I put in a bid for $30.05, just to get it off a round number. After I submit and go look at the item again it will say the highest bid is $20.50...............NOT #30.05. In the old days people would sit there and hit refresh over and over again during the last couple minutes and have a serperate window open with a bid JUST bigger and with 3 seconds to go, hit submit and win. If they did this now they would lose the aution as my actual bid is way up at $30.05. You see the other bidder would put in a bid of $21.00 with 3 second left and I would win the aution at $21.50. Hope this makes sense.
