kireol,

Yea I usually do catch a few people off guard, but the BBK shorties, off-road H-pipe and dynomax race magnums makes my car sound like a pro-stock car. But it has a few other things done to it, 12.40@110 is best on motor and 11.12@124 with the bottle (unknown shot). I like the GT40 because it looks cool and I picked up upper/lower for $160, :D then another $100 in port matching to the heads. I did the freshening of the shortblock and bolted on the H/C/I at the same time so don't know how big a difference the GT40 made. So far I have $8400 into the whole car, including the car. Hopefully next summer I will be able to build another TT kit for the car using some 60-1's.

Jim,

Those AFR 185 & 205's are badass heads. Did you see the write-up on the small block with AFR225 heads, carb and single GTB88 (I believe that was the turbo) that put down like 1040hp with 13.5lbs of boost.

Brian

Hey your website looks great? The nova is one bad ass ride. I can only hope to be that fast some day. I'm currently building an 85 Z28, chassis and body are done, now it time to really start spending money. I'm hoping to go Mid 8's bbc chevy w/spray.

Kevin, are you still going to use a big tire with the new chassis upgrade. Have you tried radial slicks yet? We use them on Scott's super stock car but the are only 30 x 9. I have seen a couple 8 & 9 sec cars here in michigan (bracket cars) use them. I have been told that they are easier to drag down the track and they don't distort as much a bias ply. But mostly I have only seen them on small tire cars.

Jim, we are going with an even bigger tire. We will be running a 34.5x17x16. I want to be able to get down any track!! Maybe even Lapeer!! LOL!!! All the fast guys in NPS run the big tire so I will follow suit.

That is a huge tire, when I had my backhalf Regal I thought a 14 x 32 was a big tire. I cant wait to see that red beast run. only 72 days left......

I attached a pic....this is what we can do with a 9" radial. (hope my link works)
