While I agree with everything that has been said I have to recall the old saying that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, or maybe it's better said that the louder the Politics the greater the reward.

We all know and understand, that in life politics plays a major role on most all major outcomes.

However, lets look at the word "NOSTALGIA" in Webster's Dictionary

"NOSTALGIA" = Yearning for the past times or places

Now lets look at the 13 cars that ran last weekend and I'm going to list them as newest to oldest model year with there qualifying times.

2004 Mustang 7.548
2000 Camaro 7.441
1986 Mustang 7.445
1985 Camaro 7.621
1979 Trans Am 8.180
1974 Camaro 7.476
1972 Grenlin 7.662
1971 Camaro 7.625
1969 Camaro 7.451
1969 Nova 7.618
1968 Camaro 7.746
1968 Nova 7.927
1967 camaro 7.761

Now the question I have is where do you draw the line on whats to be considered "NOSTALGIA", looking at the list above I would have to draw the line with David Beeson's 1974 Camaro due only in part to front suspension type yet he managed his best ever 7.454 somehow.

Kevin, what ever you do you 1st. have to look at it as a business and in business you always have continuious improvement(s) to varying degree's.

But then you have to ask yourself do I want to run my car on the ragged edge with regards to the tune up and hope you don't hurt it everytime out or do you just say as a business owner "If I can't beat em I may as well join em" and run the number.

I don't know just an observation, all I know is I want it back like it was in the early 90's where everything was Nostalgic

I think Kevin is on the right brain wave, build that 525 get your breaks and make them cry

what sucks is when you dont have a class to race in, im on small tires and have aftermarket rear frame rails so that bumps me out of everything...

It is reminiscent of the way the cars were built back in the day when Pro Street began.

I'm not trying to be funny, just asking. Why don't you run that class, you would probly rule the class, not saying the outher cars are crap but your's is damb fast !!!!! for lack of a better word??????????? and let the newer car's fill up the outher class then they will have to drop the nostalga off the name of the class, don't you think????????

By any and all means I am not saying that my mom is not a good driver... she has it in her. She just needs to focus and stop worrying about everything and every one around her. there is no way for me to say what I am thinking without sounding like an ass. Here is an example. Mom has a hard time cutting a good light. At best she is a .120 average. Tony has been out the car for almost a year and was cutting .060's and .050's all weekend. First round of qualifing this weekend my mom proved that she can drive. She kept herself safe as well as the car. Everyone here knows how emitional I can get when it comes to racing. I just wanted to make a post to let everyone know that I did not mean in anyway to make it seem like I have any doubts in my mom's ability to drive. Hopefully in the "off" season enough people with request the same rule changes for the old bricks and maybe get what you are looking for. Maybe, and this is just a suggestion, all off the "nostalgic" cars (Parent, Remek, Beeson, Ricart, Radnis, Verderer, BUrns, Rayburn, Baio, Blair) should get together and discuss what they think would be needed to make an even playing field. Then as individuals they all put the requests into the nmca. If anyone needs help getting phone #'s to put this together please let know. Or if any of them are reading this the should chime in on what they think. Till then I think that I am done on this post.

yer mom is a good driver, that got reinforced to me when the car was going sideways in memphis, and could have easily flipped it on top of Colleen, Allison and myself, and she saved it. Yer mom is also one of the nicest people I know. even if after all year giving me hugs and talking to me a hundred times she just NOW learned my name. WTF?!

She knows your name... that is funny. Usually most of the time she calls everyone that guy or that girl. My mom is pretty cool.. she is also pretty lucky to have a kid like me :D
