Let me start one week prior to the NMCA Bowling Green event. We showed up at JimKid Motorsports which is a dyno shop in Redford, MI, (248)909-0240. While warming up the engine we had a lifter failure. The lifter failure took out the LSM camshaft that we had in the engine at the NMCA Bradenton event. We had received after the NMCA Bradenton event our camshaft from Camshaft Innovations. Let me say this, Jay, the owner of Camshaft Innovations builds one hell of a camshaft. After a day of replacing the camshaft and fixing the lifter problem, we made a few pulls and knew what kind of power the engine made and where looking forward to the Bowling Green event. We pulled into Bowling Green around noon on Friday. After some off and on rain, we got the car teched in and never got a pass due to weather. We headed back to the hotel for some much needed rest due ot the fact that we were up at 3:30 am that day. We woke up to rain Saturday morning and got a little more rest and arrived at the track around 1pm. There was a test session before qualifing and we took advantage of it. I ran the car to the 1/8th and clicked it. We had a base now and started tuning from there. The call was made for 1st round of qualifing and we towed the car up to the lanes. I staged the car after doing my burnout and brought it up on the 2 step. I let go of the button and the car left. Soon after it sounded like someone shooting ducks so lifted and got back in it to the sound of more popping. Getting back to the pits, I figured out what I had forgot and made an adjustment. A couple hours later, they made the call for our second and final round of qualifing. I ran the car out the back door to a 7.72 at 177.6. This pass got us #6 out of 15 cars. We read all the data and made a decsion for first round of elimins tomorrow morning. There is one story that I am not sharing at this point due to reasons that ummmmmm, never mind I'm just not gonna tell and neither will Chris. After getting some sleep, we showed up at the track Sunday morning and got everything unloaded. The car pitted across from us which aslo runs NPS was towing up to the lanes saying they made the call for first round. I couldn't believe my ears as we had not warmed up the car nor primed the oil. I made a decision to just start the car and drive it up to the lanes and pull some tinming out of it as we had a 8teen car first round. As luck had it my competition did not show so we idled it down the track for a win. This got us to the second round and up against John Shroeder. John had qualified with a 7.54 and had run a 7.49 the pass before. I made a tuning call and low and behold we once again have a 7.5 car with a conservsative tuneup. John beat us by just shy of .04. So, we will be out for a test and tune session prior to Columbus and will be prepared for some 7.4 passes. I have had enough of these new Camaros dominating this class. BBNova will be there to show how it's done "Old School".

Well we are hoping for Atco so I guess if everything goes well I don't see why we wouldn't be in Columbus! Don't worry we're kinda used to the rudeness now
