Nope. Base Malibu - a police car actually.

My dad ordered it for my mom to drive. Ordered the police chassis, 454, turbo 400, 3.42 posi, even had Goodyear "Blue Dot" pursuit tires on 8" Corvette rallys. Built in Oshawa Canada for US consumption. Mom drove it four years and I got it after that. I drove it for two until I got my pickup truck in 1980 and it's been a racecar ever since.

First pass was a 15.10 (in 1978) and by the end of the day it was going 14.90's. Been quicker almost every year ever since!

By the way, I had the original numbers matching motor in it in 2003 and it went 12.25 in "Hail"abama. I don't think the heads have ever been off.

Boy do I remember that race, or lack there of. Remember when the storm was coming over the tower at the race track, then the take cover announcement came and about 20 seconds after that the hail was a com'n. Our hotel was right across the street from the track but it took us 1/2 hours to get there in the storm. Bad times for sure !!!!!

We got out of it pretty clean (compared to some of the guys). When the word came down we loaded up and headed for the hotel. When the hail hit we found a Farmer's Market that had covered parking and dove in there (we weren't the only ones!). I had a black Suburban and it didn't get a mark on it.

My new enclosed trailer took some hits on the ramp door and one side; the top is all beat to heck (but nobody sees it except truckers). The car was fine because it was of course inside the box.

Good times, fer sure :evil:
