We used to have a 2000 Z28 convertable for a couple years, man that car was a blast to drive, it's was a lot of fun, I wish we wouldn't have sold it, but it was impractical at the time with the kids being young :?

Thanks everyone for your kind words of wisdom and your prayers. I do understand being I grew up military but it doesn't make it any easier to let a son go. But I am proud of him, because this was his choice, he volunteered to go. He said it is something he feels he needs to do to serve his country so we can have our freedom. He will be a great leader... See you all this weekend... Thanks again for everything from all of you...

Which branch of service is he in?

Hey Kevin, just poking a little fun at Brian, it's all good, once they get as fast as you guy's are going what difference does it make who's label it has on it? :)

Yes, I am stationed at Camp Pendleton until December 31st, and then it is back to Texas for me, 21 and half years, and then retirement.

I'm a ittle confused. You have 21 and 1/2 years in. Does that allow you to retire????

Yep, after 20, everything else is gravy sort of speaking. Once you reach 20, you can retire any time after that. I will have 21 and a half when i retire in December, right now I am at 20.

Brian, I have just been lucky, is all I can add, I don't drink, don't smoke, don't drink coffee, don't do a lot of partying, just lucky enough to have a little extra money to have 3 toys of the same make and brand., two LX's and a GT hatchback. Uncle Sam has been good to me.
