Hi Phil, We were at the beach Saturday. I had sunscreen on in the begining. But after going in and out of the water acouple times it rinses off.
You would think I'd be smarter than this by now

Milk of magnesia, maylox (or anything like liquid antacids)on sunburns and mustard (like hotdog mustard) on other burns,(cooking burns from oil, etc.)Smear the maylox or milk of magnesia all over sunburn, takes out the fire as it dries. Slather mustard on burn imediately, takes out the fire, stops the cooking, and no blisters, leave the mustard to dry. Sounds crazy, but it works.Old Indian cure. They work. Being from a long line of redheads, I know. Aloe only drives the burn deeper.
Anything with lanolin also works like oil, it cooks you.

Hey Rick... Sorry to hear your sunburn... I think everybody has them though, it was a very hot weekend everywhere... I'm burned and I even had a tan first... I could only imagine if I didn't... Ouch... So how is everything going with you...
