Used the WD40 to start cleaning up the steering staft for the heim joint to support it (notice how nice the top looks...LOL)

Phil...man that thing looks great!!! Uh Oh...another RED Nova????? Makes me wish I had started with that Nova body style over the BBC fighting style I have now. Whew.....that's why a SBC is in there now. And when is a 496 little????? Compared to my 377!!!!

THANKS GUYS, NOW ALL I NEED IS MORE TIME AND OF COURSE MORE MONEY.

ERIC, IM GOING TO PUT TOGETHER A 451 PUMP GAS MOTOR FOR HER, ONE THAT JUST SOUNDS GOOD WITH JUST A LITTLE ZIP. WHICH TRANS WOULD YOU USE FOR A CRUISER WITH A GOOD TIRE UNDER IT.

I MOVED THE SUPER STOCK SPRINGS INBOARD AND AS YOU CAN SEE THE TUBS ARE INSTALLED WITHOUT LOOSEING THE BACK SEAT.

DONT KNOW IT I AM GOING TO LIKE THOSE SUPER STOCK SPRINGS OR NOT LOOKS LIKE ITS GOING TO SIT A LITTLE HIGH IN THE BACK WHICH I DONT WANT UNLESS I HAD A HEMI AND THAT AINT GONA HAPPEN.

I AM GOING TO LOOSE THE MAIN HOOP IN THE CAR AND MAKE IT A PRO TOURING SEDAN STYLE VEHICLE.

I'M SURE I WONT HAVE IT VERY LONG CAUSE SHE WANTS A PROWLER, I TOLD HER THIS WAS HER STEPPING STONE TO THE PROWLER

Since you are building a 451 you are going have to use a 727. I would use a simple street strip since you are going to use it as a touring but it will be something that won't hurt the resale value later.

Most likely a racing gearhead will buy it when you switch to the Prowler.

I have run both the 904 and the 727. I don't have great power in the Dart but somewhat respectable on the bottle for the street that is. It is just ashame that I don't run the street or even cruise the streets anymore so I am handcuffed at the track.

I have torn up my share of 904s.....mainly due to not having the correct hard parts inside. I finally got a decent sprag for my 904 and then tore the clutches out of it.

I have a 727 in the Dart now and I love it. I don't get the wheelstands like I did with the 904 with the low gear set. But I am not under the car replacing the trans every 2 months either!!!! Better for the budget racer.....that's me!!!! I should change my team name to NoCash Performance! LOL

Hope that helps....

Phil, nice ride. This is my '69 that I did the same thing too, minus the mini-tub. But now that I bought the '67 will be racing it and streeting the '69. Will still run it when the urge comes over me, or if someone mouths off. Just a mild oval port 427 with a solid. Looking for mid 10's on nuts, 9.5's or so on the jug. Good Luck, John ImageImage

"THREAD HIJACKER", Just kidding. I helped didn't I. But no Phil, it's not a real Yenko, If it was I woudn't even think of half the stuff I did to it. It's a '69 SS 396/350 hp 4 sp. car. Factory red with black guts. Bench seat disc brakes 12 bolts 3.73's. But when I got the car the original drive train was long gone. My buddy bought the car in '78 and the 396 was gone at that time, so was the Muncie. It does have a "correct" '69 427 with a 'glide that I had kicking around with the 4.56's now. The cage is about as far as I wanted to go with it as far as cutting. At this point it's on hold till the Duece is done, which should be no later than May '05. Than back to the '69. Good luck John
