Bad Eric....very very bad.......the true meaning of the word...the full word....
Christmas...... Christ's Mass...... The Mass of the Birth of Christ. Thus when you put an X at the beginning you are actually celebrating the wrong event in the life of Christ.....the X stands for the cross ie....Easter.
Thus ends the lesson on the correct spelling of the word Christmas. I am sure that Mark Walter alias Preacher Man will agree with me on this right Mark?

Trust me..I know...this happened in the 1st grade. I was not all there back then......couldn't comprehend math either.

But at the sametime I designed a interspace launch station and understood that I needed opposing forces to launch a vehicle from a zero gravity platform so it would not have a degredation of orbit. So I designed a wave trap for exhaust gas ports to assist in controling the orbit of the platform during launches.

1st grade was a very wierd time for me.....LOL. Not easy being a first. (one of the first black kids in a all-white school)

My teacher thought I was retarted so I was sent to see the school system shrink to have my head examined. They were rudely awakened when they found out my IQ was (<---key word was---when I found drag racing everything went downhill....lol) VERY VERY high. I don't know what it is.....and it won't change the price of coffee....so doesn't matter. I just know I am too smart for my own good.

Well here's a little primer on Christmas...

Christmas, annual Christian holiday commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Most members of the Roman Catholic Church and followers of Protestantism celebrate Christmas on December 25, and many celebrate on the evening of December 24 as well. Members of the Eastern Orthodox Church usually delay their most important seasonal ceremonies until January 6, when they celebrate Epiphany, a commemoration of the baptism of Jesus. Epiphany also traditionally commemorates the arrival of the Three Wise Men of the East in Bethlehem (near Jerusalem, Israel), where they adored the infant Jesus and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The official Christmas season, popularly known as either Christmastide or the Twelve Days of Christmas, extends from the anniversary of Christ’s birth on December 25 to the feast of Epiphany on January 6.

Not certain of the origins of Xmas...

Blessings,
Mark

Mama JAMA agrees...either "the Cross" or you've "x'd" Christ out all together.
