Your right about knowing your stuff to make a n/a car run( that gets me thinking a lil bit )but even any more with a nos combo you have to know your stuff too or you will break a lot of parts a n/a combo is more reliable more exspensive at first hmmmmmmmmmmmm now ya done it mabee i should redo my car for hot street 8)

hehe. i agree there with the NOS stuff. i personally dont know much about it but i have some friends that went through ooo maybe 50-60 pistons this year because of the way NMRA Renegade rules were re-written. ive never seen more blown up wasted parts then i have in their shop lol. very touchy stuff, but its neat because you have to understand a lil something about the chemistry of it too.

They were not needed until the import generation, little motor + Turbo =
Little motor that thinks it's a BIG motor. I was not saying it is easy to tune a turbo car, I only ment that if you want more power you turn up the boost!! You don't have to look to deep. Every 15 psi of boost doubles the CI the motor thinks it is. That 180 CI motor I seen was running in the neighborhood of 60 PSI !!! 180 CI + 60 PSI= 720 CI.

LMAO true true!!!!

Right but when you turn up the boost you then have to figure out how to get that much more power to the pavement. That 180 ci motor must have been crazy! Id like to see that thing from the inside out after a pass hahaha!

wow i think this is the first time ive seen a thread go from somethin non-car related to car related :cheer:

doh, definitely not an easy thing to overcome......ive heard some people tell me that adding weight to the front of the car, or rather taking weight from the back & adding it to the front has helped. not sure if thats just mustang specific hehe but the theory is since the car is heavier up front it has to actually squat down more in the back to try & pick that front weight up, thus puttin more load on the rear tires. think there is any truth to that?

Yes, it made 819 hp N/A (400 SB), it really liked the spray though picked up big time even with small hits. I am trying to do what I can that is not to expensive. Tubular front K member, Removed Bumper supports (thats what I did today), Cut out spare tire mount, cut out seat belt mounts, My car still has a full interior so there is a lot left to go. I don't however want it to look gutted.

I hope not,  I just spent the last 2 1/2 weeks getting weight off the front. I really need a back-half and a 4 link, maybe I can get that for Christmas, anyone want to buy me a gift ??? LOL
