Hi everyone.

I finished my Android Drag Racing app.

So far, it has hundreds of U.S. drag strips information (phone, address, web site, track type, nhra or ihra, etc), calculates live density altitude for the track, gets the weather for the track, etc. Also, there's a bunch of calculators for getting horsepower or cfm or a bunch of other values.

Depending on the response the app gets, I may at a later time, be adding things like news from the various organizations, a small reaction time mini-game, the ability to record your times/weather/etc.

I'm looking for feedback, good or bad, on the app. Am I missing a track? Let me know! Does a formula in the calculator section not work? Yell at me! Got a cool idea for me to improve it? Let me know.

Again, the app is free in the Android market.

If you don't have Android, you can view screenshots here: https://market.android.com/details?id=c ... gworkbench

Thanks!

Looks very cool Chris. When i try the navigation to the tracks it says " no results found for 10860 plank rd., null,mi 48160"
it puts the word "null" in place of the state for some reason. i tried a few and the same result.
other than that looks cool.

Very cool app Chris!!! How does it calculate or get the weather info to calculate the density altitude?

I get the weather from wunderground. That has all of the info needed to calculate. Then I use a huge series of formulas for the official formula to calculate DA. The only way you could be more precise than my numbers is if you took the temp/pressure/etc on site instead of from a zip code.

Image ahso! You very clever fellow G.I.! I've told all my buddies about your app. The problem is those old farts can hardly work a cell phone let alone a smart phone! :idiote: Most of them think I say "nap" when I say "app" and they go to sleep!

As of yesterday, my Hackintosh is up and running. Now I have to go teach myself to program for the iPhone.
