I'm trying to get a ballpark estimate on where to shift this new motor. 383ci with 260/264 @ .050", 106 LSA, 106 ICL. I shifted at 6500 this past Saturday, just making some shakedown passes.

What kind of crank do you have in the engine & how long to you want it to last? I'd think that engine is going to like 7,500 or so, but 7,000 will keep the crank life alot longer.
