I test-fitted my cast-aluminum tall valve covers tonight and the damn things hit some of my rocker arms Rolling Eyes I'm running Canfield 23* SBC heads and full-roller aluminum 1.5 stud-mount rockers.

The covers are not hitting the top of the rocker arms, they're hitting the back of the rockers near the pushrod.

I just have tall cast aluminum ones on mine.

I know you probably already checked, but I had to get 0.200 longer push rods.

...reminds me of those early (ie, 1903 ish) Fords that didn't have an oil pan; the oil ran from the top down through the block and then out onto the ground....

...'course, my '31 is just about like that anyway...
