We just use a seatbelt buckle. Weld the male part to the bar ( be careful to put it in a position so that you don't cut your head open getting in and out) . Weld the female end to a rod that runs through the net. Simple and user friendly. |

on the upper rod, on the opposite end of the buckle, how do you attach that end of the rod? does it come out or pivot ? |

I have a clevis at the top rear to pivot that says attached and a pin and clevis that secures the top front. Both bottom attachmetns stay attached. The front of the top bar will rotate down and rearward out of the way... |

that pivot is a great idea. My buddies car has a hole that the rod slides into & then it snaps in with the buckle. It works great, but........ he cant do it by himself while he is buckled in. it takes a LONG time for him to get it done by himself. Bob |

No, its just where it sits with the way the roll bar crosses his shoulder & the seat that he has & the way that the floor board scoots it down under the seat that makes it a PITB. its REAL easy for me to get to it from outside the car, but when your in it & buckled in, its difficult. Bob |
