does painting or powder coating an intake manifold have any negative effect of the performace of the engine due to increased temps or anything like that?

I know plating or polishing reduces surface area. Which makes it harder for the intake to dissipate heat. On a drag engine I don't think it would make much difference. On a street engine with longer run times and idleing time. It could be an issue.

Just another thought. My intake is polished. And there is frost on the top of it after a run.
