how fast can you go with a mild steel cage?? not that im fast, just curious.

7.50 is the limit for mild steel.

25.5 certification can be mild steel or moly steel. If your not at that level of certification, then it's 8.50. The basic upgade includes "X" the door bars, funny car cage, larger tube diameter behind the seats, gussets on the intersecting corners and a couple bars under the driver, one under the seat and one under your feet.

Anything can be updated. I used to have the 25.5 spec, but I gave it away. It costs money to order the spec. You can find info at:

i didnt see anything about going slower than 8.49 though. i just want to make sure i order the right one.

Slower than 8.49 you can just use the specs in the NHRA OR IHRA rule book. 8)
