i have some parts gathered for my new motor and i have some questions.

i have a 400 block that is 30 over. the block has less then 10 passes on it.
i have a lunati crank that is the 3.75 stroke
i have new set of 5.7 rods and a new set of 6" rods
i have a set of dart 215cc iron eagles (64cc 2.08,1.60 valves angled plugs)
i have a victor jr intake
i have a set of hooker super comp headers
i have a turbo 350 in the car now and i have a glide with a trans brake
i need a cam and lifters
i need pistons

i want to be able to run the car on pump gas for occasional street driving
of course i want to run a fast as possible

my main question is -what length rods do i use? what cam do i use, im planning on a solid roller. will this motor put my 3400 pound nova in the 10s? 9s? i really dont want to buy new heads either. am i wishing for too much? would higher compression make that much more power? just a few things i have been thinking about. thanks for any input.

i have a plate setup on the car now. i need to upgrade the plate itself but the rest of the system is pretty good. i plan on using it.

ok, i know yall are all wondering what im going to do :lol: but i have decided against pump gas and im going to be running about 12.5-13:1 compression. just a update.

I have always been told that if you run aluminum heads then you can get away with more compression on pump gas well thats if its worth it to you
