The Cometic gasket are a 3 piece deal. They are made of stamped steel with an o-ring in the center piece. I seen a set and thought they were a cool idea. Seems that more and more people are using them with great success. I can't use them cause the block has an O-ring and the head a reciever groove. The head and block need to be flat (no groove) to use this style of gasket. I would torque the head down and load the cylinders with 90 PSI of air. Check to see if you have cylinder to cylinder leakage. Check it before installing the motor (cold) then again after installing when its warm. You will also need to check that the gasket does not overhang into the cylinder. It should be around .005-.010 away from the diameter of the cylinder. Then totallty torqued gaskets expand slightly. Questions below...

Are you using head studs?
Do you check and retorque the heads after a few heat cycles?
Are they fine on motor alone?
Are you running too much nitrous? Step back in pills and see if you see a loss in ET?
Are you reading the plugs correctly?
What do the plugs look like after a full shutdown pass? (dont just say good) Give us the fuel ring reading (located where the sun dont shine) The ground strap reading (timing mark) and the condition of the porcelin (SP?) (clean, black, brown, aluminum flakes, etc etc...)

Thanks for the info on the cometic gaskets, they sound like a good way to go, I think I will give them a try......

For your questions.......

*No I did not check or retorque my heads at all, I know shame on me.... :idiote:
*As for motor alone, I have never had a problem......
*I did step the pills back and saw a loss in ET.......as well as steped them up, but all I got was tire spin and more MPH....
*I am somewhat new at the nitrous tuning and am just learning on how to read plugs..I think the blueing line on the ground strap was right on the bend.....The porcelin was clean tward the electrode and a little brown down inside....How would I get a fuel ring reading???????
