Post subject:  WHY IS IT THAT PEOPLE....
Repeat past mistakes over and over and over again until they finally realize that those actions are devastating to their lives?
Why is it that people are willing to let wisdom fly to the wind for the sake of instant gratification?
Why do people put themselves into the same kind of situations that have caused them so many problems in the past?
Why do we human beings have to make the same mistake fifty times before we say to ourselves, hey, self, maybe this isn't such a good idea?
Why don't we listen to our friends?
Why don't we listen to ourselves?
Why do people forget their goals and dreams so easily?
Does anybody know :?:

thanks trish, thanks cailin,

i don't really need to talk, kinda just needed to get that out of my system and see if anybody had the answers for me.
i find myself living in a horrendous cycle of repeating past mistakes and not learning from them. i find myself drowning in a situation that i cannot seem to muster enough strength and courage to get myself out of. i find myself not taking my friends advice, i see myself not taking my own advice. as a philosopher by nature, i am astounded by how we human beings can live in such a fashion, how we don't do what we know we are supposed to do or not do.
i kinda just needed to vent and figured maybe somebody could throw something out there that may help, thats all. :roll:

Brooke.....I don't know if this will help at all but here goes....
We are all human...we live our lives by whatever desire and passion drives us......does that make any sense.
I have been there, repeated the cycle a couple of times before I realized that somehow, it was just not right....
We have to learn by our mistakes and weigh out the options provided by friends and try and work with what feels best for us.
If everything was clean cut in life, it would be pretty boring....None of us is born with the know it all to do what is right all the time....that is what makes life so exciting.
Always know that you can vent here and I hope that this makes some sense.....circles are a good thing you just need to know when to get onto the track to the next circle. Anytime you need to talk, feel free to pm me or pm Cailin or anybody here....

Brooke if one cannot keep from making the same mistake then perhaps one can focus on being better prepared for when history repeated itself in order to have a better exit strategy
