one of our cats brought a little mouse into the house & rather than eat it like she normally does she decided she was bored with it & let it go.

So Im sitting @ the dining room table working on the computer & I see it crawl across the floor in the kitchen. so......... I get out the mouse traps (not the first time weve had this problem, LOL) & set a few up in the kitchen.

My wife just called me & said, "I hear it, I hear it. its screaming, Its stuck in the dishwasher & its screaming".

I said, "what are you talking about??? I hope this is not one of our boys"

She said "NO, its that stupid mouse, he is stuck in the dishwasher & wants out, its screaming".

I asked "how did it get suck in the dishwasher"

She said "I had the door open to let the steam out & when we got home from the store I closed the door & he must be stuck in the dishwasher".

so................... like any good husband caring & concerned about my wifes well beaing, I started laughing uncontrollably.

she said "its not funny............ that poor thing. its scared. it wants out. what am I going to do?????".

I said "leave it alone, it will stop crying & I will deal with it when I get home".

she says "but its crying".

then I hear "Mom, I see it. its stuck in the door".

I started laughing louder & as she is getting closer to the dishwasher I can hear it screaming. I can only picture the "ewwwwwwwwwwwww" look on her face as she is trying to figure out what to do, so ............. I started laughing EVEN MORE.

So she calls me a few choice names & the phone goes dead. I check the phone, sure enough "call ended" & not "call lost". Im in SOOOOOOOOO much trouble, but..... its the phunniest damn thing Ive heard in months.

UPDATE:

So I called her back to find out the status of "Fred"

I asked my wife, "hows the mouse?"
& I get a, "Oh so your not gonna ask how I am or your son is, you just wanna know about the mouse?"
OK, so Im not firing on all 8 Cyls today & just dug a much deeper grave. ROFLOL


So they were over @ the Dishwasher looking @ the back end of this mouse sticking out & Jake (My 11 year old) pushed on the dishwasher to get a better look @ it, & it shot out like a rocket & ran accross the kitchen, through the living room & under the washing machine.

It appears that it was not stuck in the dishwasher door, but between the dishwasher & the cabinet & when he pushed on it, it got enough room to squeeze out.

I could tell that she was cooled off so I asked if she has moved the washing machine yet to get to him...............
She did not think it too Phunny.

but....... on the bright side, Im not in as much trouble as I thought.

No Dick, if you go through the living room you get to the washroom where the washing machine is. although...................... if I put the washing machine, & stove in the living room, we could kill 3 chores all @ one time. GREAT idea Dick thanks.
