im looking around at helmets and i want to make sure that whatever i buy will pass tech. what is the required safety rating i need? what models are some of you guys using this season? |

You want a snell rated helmut. I believe 00 is the latest . or 05 now I'd have to check. I think the snell 90's are done this year. They are only good 15 years. So a snell 95 will be done in 2010 |

so the snell 90 meant it was manufactured in 1990? or the snell 05 was manufactured in 2005? and the date is good for 10 years? i had no idea what the numbers meant. am i following correctly? |

snell 90 would have been made between 90 and 95 . And would be good for 10 to 15 years depending on when you bought it |
