im looking around at helmets and i want to make sure that whatever i buy will pass tech. what is the required safety rating i need?

what models are some of you guys using this season?

You want a snell rated helmut. I believe 00 is the latest . or 05 now I'd have to check. I think the snell 90's are done this year. They are only good 15 years. So a snell 95 will be done in 2010

so the snell 90 meant it was manufactured in 1990? or the snell 05 was manufactured in 2005? and the date is good for 10 years? i had no idea what the numbers meant. am i following correctly?

snell 90 would have been made between 90 and 95 . And would be good for 10 to 15 years depending on when you bought it
