This is an advertisement to tell you....
DON'T BUY WALLPAPER.....it sucks....
Although some of you know this, other's of you do not....
A very large corporation called Chapelthorpe in the UK has just shut down the Canadian facility where I work.....yep, that's right....yesterday they laid off 5 of our staff that were left after a whole summer of layoffs which left only 5 production staff working now.
Today after a very brief management meeting, we were all told that our facility would be closing due to a very large customer of ours going into Chapter 11.
A set time is not available for the actual physical mothballing of our 40 million dollar facility however, guessing, it will not be long. Our company produced vinyl coated paper for the wallcoverings industry. They have closed our facility and transferred all of our customers over to purchasing from the UK facility. In short, don't buy wallpaper.
The all great and powerful "board" of the Chapelthorpe group in the UK (who only purchased our company 3 years ago) have destroyed what was once a very viable company through their paperwork jungle.
It is a sad day after 15 years of working here, and to boot, this is the anniversary of the theft of my car.....oh happy day!
