Halloween Classic Norwalk, Ohio - Oct. 25 - 30 by Brian Lohnes and Eric Ebinger Early Indicators at Norwalk Point to the Largest Summit Classic in History- (10-10-2005) - Be afraid, be very afraid. For thirty-one years, racers from across the Midwest and Canada have closed their racing season at Norwalk Raceway Park, with the largest sportsmen race in the world. For the thirty second running of the Summit Classic, all early indicators point to a record-breaking event. The previous high mark was set in 1998, during the 25th anniversary celebration, when the car count reached past 1600 cars. Bill Bader, Jr., reading the results of the pre-registrations after just ten days, was impressed. “From the looks of what we have received so far, it could be the largest Summit Classic in history,” Bader said Saturday morning. “Racers joining us for 2005 will be part of the greatest spectacle in drag racing. The prizes are exciting, the payout astounding- we have left no stone unturned in making Summit Classic XXXII the highlight of the year.” Here are some great Halloween Classic XXXI pictures: http://promodsource.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=60 http://promodsource.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=59 http://promodsource.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=61 http://promodsource.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=58 |
