Finally got the car out for some testing yesterday, The weather was great and track was not to bad, I am pleased with the way the car ran.
Made Two passes both on the motor only, 9.778 & 9.784 both at 139mph  This is a brand new motor and convertor, it seems to be real consistant which is a bonus. Now if I could shed 250 to 300 lbs. Hope everyone is having fun during this nice weather we are having. Loud 8)

You know Kevin, I havent decided completely. I do know that I will be running the STS program at the Motorplex this season. I dont think we will be bracket racing much, I have a small plate setup on the car, Not sure what classes my car can compete in? My car weighs 3350lbs or so, It is plated and has working lights and DOT tires. I put a new Coan 9" NOS convertor in it and the 540 is setup to handle about 400 shot. I dont know much about NPS or NSCA or NMCA classes. I do like the new LED lights however, I was killing the tree yesterday. Had A great time. Can you tell me whats out there for this kind of setup? 8) John

I doubt your car will go 7.5's or 7.6's so you would not be very competitve in NPS... I'm not really sure about the other classes to tell you the truth... Did you look at the the other calss rules at all at the NSCA site???? I may make it to Stanton this summer for an event or two.... YOu liked the LED lights huh???

May 7th and the next race is May 21st. They have a new 10.5 3000lb class, should be fun. I will be running the 9.0 index Super Street class I guess. That STS is not alot of payout but it sure is a good time. John
