BBC Build Up:

Image

We've just finished part two of the Big Block Chevy Build up of Kenny Staib, a machinist at Weston Machine. Most of you will recognize Kenny and his car from being the 2003 Atco Quick 8 Champion I've posted before about. He's stepped up from the Buick headed small block to a brand new DRCE II Pro Stock Block and Heads. This different approach is very intriguing with small cubes and high revs with spray to make use of an already stout chassis.

New "Drop Down" boxes for your ease of navigation and comments are welcome.

Exclusive: Kenny Staibs Quick 8 Camaro, BBC Buildup Click Here:

Come watch Kenny spend his money in this second edition.

Sincerely gDR.

I knew you might feel that way Kevin, looks like cubes will matter this year. All the heads up are going to unlimited cube vs. small bock turbos.

Coming from you Kevin, that's quite a compliment. This is one I've had the most fun with. All the others with the chassis and stuff are good to learn about the new specs, but seeing this machine work and lenghts taken to make this sucker stay alive at near 10,000RPM right out of Weston machine is awesome.

He should be ready in less than a month if all goes well with the upgrades to the chassis. minor stuff really just removing all the stock control arms and steering that was in the car, lol. He's run this car to 7.81 @ 183 with a bone stock front end, steering box included.

All the pieces are in place and he's waiting on some time to finish the balancing and of course parts like the valve springs, then just mount up all the dry sump and pumps.

Since Kenny is building this himself, we should have a pretty thorough build in the end. :D
