Thought I'd update you all. She ended up having 13 surgeries in all, it was miserable. Last August they stopped chemo so they could do the last surgery to sew up the wound. Well it worked by about 90%, but her cancer took off on her. The CA125 went as high at 1800 again, CatScan showed the cancer diseased her small intestine, lungs and pancreas. Now this was all last August/September. She is doing REALLY WELL right now. CA125 is down to an "8" and latest CatScan of her lungs showed NOTHING, and her abdominal area cancer was almost undetectable on the scan which is AWESOME news. She has chemo every month, no hair loss neither. Now believe it or not she still has to change bandages 2X a day for the hernia surgery back in November 2009.........YES it's been over a year, but the wound is very small now, about the size of a 50 cents piece. |
