Woke up to the carbon monoxide detector going off. Just replaced one furnace last year. Thought the other one was going bad. Thank God it was just a bad detector. Please everybody here, Check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. It's that time of the year. |

i just took down my smoke detector 2 hours ago cuz it needs a new battery and was whining at me. |

| Post subject: | Unk's Smoke Detector |
Was visiting my Ol' Unkle Cas a couple of years ago & I noticed that his smoke detector was "chirping". I told him that I would install new batteries for him while I was there. He looked at me funny & asked how I knew they needed to be changed(?). I told him that the alarm "chirped" when the batteries were low. He started to laugh & told me that he "emptied 2 cans of Raid looking to kill that damn cricket!"
