I just had a new roof put on Joanne's horse barn. She got a couple quotes from local roofers listed in the phone book. There are a lot Amish craftsmen in this area. I suggested she call her blacksmith and ask if he knew of any we could contact about doing the roof. Called a guy named Ephrim Lapp. Now get this!! His price was almost $10,000 less then the guys in the phone book! He started Friday and finished today. Looks great!

It's not like the difference was $40k to $50k, his price was just over $4,000 and the next closest was almost $14,000. :?
