It was a great 4 days with my mom & dad. Didn't catch to many fish, but did alot of photo taking. Here are a few of my favorites from Mackinac: Of the first three zoomed photos, which one do you like best? |

I was thinking the same Rick, If you've never been there, the others you wouldn't know what the building was I think. The weather was not nice for photos, HOT & HUMID, Very hazy in the distance which upset me a bit, but I did my best with what I had to deal with. I took about 900 photos and some are terrible |

I like the haze. adds depth to the pic by fuzzing out the UP |

I like the first one to. To cut some of that haze try a polarizing filter. They work magic. |

Makinac City, Michigan. I have a polarizer lens filter...............hmmmmm, wonder why I didn't use it So I posted these pics all over the web and everyone loves them, well almost everyone. On my Nikonian Professional Website I joined for a small fee, they are tearing them up, a little disheartening but it will make a better photographer out of me that for sure. The one one they appear to like is the bridge alone, they say the lighthouse pics have a "halo" or a glow to the trees and house which I found out what was causing it and they think the cannon pic is awesome, but I need a 'depth of field' so the rock wall behind the canon needs to be blurry so your full attention is on the canon. They countinue to point out that I have to always ask myself a question "What is the purpose of this photo" before I take the shot. In that canon pic the answer would be to show the canon, so not everything should be in focus, I guess I get a little carried away with pointing and clicking and being in too much of a hurry. |

Sounds like you paid for a site to take all of the fun out of taking pictures. |
