And it appears that the Cash For Cluckers program is now out of money.....less than a week, Wow a government program that actually worked as planned???? That's weird

WASHINGTON (AP) - The House has voted to rush an additional $2 billion into the popular but financially strapped "cash for clunkers" car purchase program. The bill was approved on a vote of 316-109. House members acted within hours of learning from Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood that the program was running out of money. |

This makes me mad. The majority of the purchases are imports. I'm buying imports for other people to drive with part of my tax money. stupid government. |

It may be working as planned, but What makes you think it's working to the benefit of the average consumer? $1,000,000,000.00 is put where the second most crooked profession in the world (car salesmen) can get to it by the first most crooked profession in the world (politicians). It's just a bunch of money the government doesn't have and we and our children and grand children will be paying back for years to come. Think I should change my name to Ben Dover.

They scap the cars turned in, sell the scrap to China, which then turns it into something that we BUY BACK.
