![]() ![]() ![]() Jimmy.........square and many many bevels to give it the "Princess" sparkle....very nice. A Musi cut would have meant even more money.......the Musi colour is Green remember....Green diamonds are very very hard to come by. Now a Pink Diamond that would be sweet.......excuse me.....Jimmy's Wife...are you there.....next year tell him you want a Pink Diamond....Princess Cut......2.96 Karats |

Sorry but your getting into one of my interests now As well as the clarity and grade of the diamond........my interest too!! Rick....did you know that there is a company that will make a diamond out of your loved one? So far they have only done pets.....they are working on humans now..... Carbon is Carbon right? Ashes to ashes....... I read about it last year around this time......You can carry around your pet on your ring for a mere $10,000. Just send the body within 1 day of it dying and they will do their thing with it. ![]() |

No I hadn't heard of changing your loved one into a diamond. But you are right carbon is carbon just need alot of pressure My dad used to do that as a hobby too.....I know alot about stones. One time when we were out west, we went rock hunting in a mud pit......we were told that amethyst existed there.....I was the only one who found something and it is in my china cabinet to this very day....never cut, never destroyed.....it is square and beige on the outside with lots of little divets kind of like finger holes to hold onto it......bursting out of the middle are tons of amethyst crystals that have never ever faded to this day....that was when I was 10 years old...... |

I still have some of the jewelry he made....lots of tigereye, snowflake obsidian (lava rock with snowflakes in it), jade, quartz, agate........ |

That's really cool. I have a 12'' slab saw , a flat lap , cabbing machine and a faceting machine. Don't have alot of time for it right now, but maybe someday ![]() Oh and since we're being technical today , the snowflakes in snowflake obsidian is pumice. ![]() |

![]() Oh and since we're being technical today , the snowflakes in snowflake obsidian is pumice. ![]() Thanks for that info.....I always wondered what made them so beautiful....now I know. I love that stone......and the fact that it comes from a volcano makes it even more interesting and intriguing. |
