I'm about to pull the trigger on a Nikon D90 SLR Digital Camera Kit with Nikon 70-300 VR Lens

I saved up enough money last September to buy this thing, but guess what..........property taxes came due

Now I've sold all my old odds and ends hobby items, like wetsuits, barefoot suits, water skiis, water ski gloves, ropes, handles, etc., etc.
and now I have enough money again................but now I'm wondering if I should just tuck the money away instead due to work being very slow and the econnomy in the crapper..................but then I think, shoot I just sold all this stuff just sitting around for 5 years, damn it I deserve a nice new bad a$$ camera..............

Oh, I hate Indecisiveness.............

What do you think Dick, I heard you have used a Nikon for a while.

I've never heard of that website, I was going to buy local, but they are $150 more than BHPhoto in New York which is a very GOOD place to buy camera equiptment and not reciveing China Replicas.

Nikon is an excellent camera. I've had them since the 1960s. Stick with OEM Optics. The 70 to 300 is a great lens for race track pictures but a little long for shooting inside, like birthday party pictures, etc. Canon is another good brand with good optics. In any case don't get an amateur version. You can tell those because they are a little less expensive and usually don't have threads on the lens for filters. They just don't have the features of the higher priced cameras and if you want to do any serious track photography you'll find you will eventually want those features.
