Folks, I just received this from Mary ODonnell, Joel's mom. I spoke with her earlier today by phone, they are holding up as best as can be expected. "Visitation Saturday 3-9 p.m. at Lawn Funder Home, 7732 W. 159th Street, Orland Park, Illinois. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Joel ODonnell Fund c/o Archer Bank (any branch) or at Joel's web site: http://www.joelodonnell.4t.com through PayPal. Funeral information may be obtained by calling 708-429-3200. The family will appreciate your kind consideration. Our faith in God sustains us and we feel blessed to have had the privilege of Joel's presence for 33 years; God will now have him forever. Amen!" I highly encourage all to do 2 things for the ODonnells, first and foremost lift up prayer for the family. To say this is a difficult time for them almost seems trite. Secondly, prayerfully consider making a donation to the family if you possibly can. Ya'll know I don't ever ask for money, never have and never will for JAMA, but I will ask you to consider making a donation to help defray the cost of the funeral and medical expenses.
