Great photos. We were just there a month ago, here are our photos.
We went to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, then drove the Blue Ridge Parkway up to Virginia. We camped north of Asheville North Carolina for 3 days and saw the North Carolina Museum of Minerals, Lindville Falls, Lindville Caverns, Grand Father Mountain, we went to Gem Mountain and paned for Gems (found an emerald worth $800 :shock: ), we had a blast. Here are a few photos out of the 1,200 we took. I can't seem to get the images to show, so I put links.

This is Carol's Uncle's ranch. He retired down there in Tennesee and raised Black Angus cattle.

Phil rented a place, looks nice.
The home in my picture is Carol's uncle. He let us park the motor
home my his pond for a couple days.

We rented the home, it cost 724.00 including tax from Tuesday to Saturday and yes it was about 8 miles up the side of the mountian.

Its the only way to go there and spend any time
