I was reading teh following and thinking to myself. Why would anyone even think about buying a Honda Accord??? 24MPG?????? My full size Silverado got 25mpg the other day on a round trip to Milan dragway. My Pontiac Bonneille gets 29 mpg. What a joke the Accord is!!!!! http://green.yahoo.com/blog/amorylovins ... -cars.html |

i get over 34 mpg when i drive darla's accord to birmingham, and its a very nice car, and both of the hondas we have owned have proven to be excellent cars. and they are built in the united states. quit bitching about the hondas every other week, go bully another manufacturer. maybe kia? hyundai? i understand your loyalty to the big three and your career wth GM. but what have they done for the average US consumer? i tell you what, they havent done anything for me other than provide me with overpriced vehicles that are not reliable after i put 75K +miles on them. heck, my work van (05 astro) that has 98k on it has already had 3 fuel pumps and 2 new GM transmissions in it. sorry kevin, but there not making fords and chevys like they used to, if they did i would buy one in a minute. i dont care what any biased report that you find says, people buy based on personal experience. -jacob. |

Jacob, My 03 Envoy had 100k on it when I traded it in. I did brakes once, replaced the battery. And had to replace the fuelpump do to rust from the area I live in. That's pretty damn good in my book. As for what does the big 3 do for me? I also live in an area where there is a GM assembly plant. Even though I work at a Ford dealership our areas' standard of living is better because of that plant. Looking at the big picture. If It was a foreign plant that was here. My local area would still benefit. But what about our country as a whole? Where do you think all the profit from these companies go? Do you think the middle class in this country can continue to survive if things continue to go the way are? Does it matter what kind of car you buy? no. But if 500k or million people buy a foreign car instead of American it could cause alot of people (like most of the people on this board) to lose thier jobs. Then what? We end up taking some job that pays a fraction of what we make now and hopefully don't lose our homes or worse. But guess what? Down the road since we are only making a fraction of our former income. We are only paying a fraction of the amount we were in taxes and social security! So when it's time to retire or slow down. We can't! But those people in Japan or China that we've been supporting by buying thier products can! Is that what you want??? Sorry, I'll get down off my soap box now. |

You need to talk beer with Jacob. watch. jacob.....everyone is switching to Cass beer. it's Korean. It doesnt give you a hangover like the beer company you work for does. We all are. The entire nation. Your beer sucks. I once had a can and then I threw up, so ALL of your beer sucks and I would never buy it again unless they made a beer that didnt suck. Therefore you are losing your job tomorrow, all of your friends and family will be fired due to plant closings as well. It's also put the entire nations economy in the shitter directly, but we dont care, because we now dont get hangovers from your shitty beer. that's pretty much what you just said, but with beer. lol |
