LOTS of them. when I was on the USS Idependence, we came from Philly (yea there is a Navy station there, on the river) around the horn to San Diego, we stopped in just about EVERY country there was doing air shows the entire way. the highlight of each airshow was an F14 breaking the sound barrier. it litterally makes the entire ship shake as it goes by. this is a ship thats 1047 feet long with 30 feet of draft. its an AWESOME experience. It litterally blew the earings out of my girlfriends ears.

We were out on the beach .... and all of a sudden BOOM BOOM... it was crazy. Sounded like the building behind fell down.

Susie, did you see the jets??? sure is strange to see them that close to the beach. they are not supposed to do that. it can break windows & such.

there were 2 booms... they did not shake things that much... so i do not think that they were that close.
