They did a segment on the news the other day.. Great Lakes repo , I think was the company.. The guy was talking about being shot at and stuff.. I thought of Kirk.... :shock:

to be honest with you kevin... the repo business is not that bad... I have been around it for about 20 years (yes since Iwas a little child) and for the most part you only get hurt if your stupid. Of course you have times where you are threatened and someone might even pull a gun on you but they are few and far between.

been shot at 13 times in 7 years...last time with an automatic assult rifle.........and not once was it from being stupid... :!: :!: :!: .....HOW can you be SMART enough to see into the future that someone is going to come runnin out of a house shooting, or a neighbor that wont mind his own bizz, or someone hanging out there bedroom window shooting at what they think is someone steeling there car..???....somtime the BANKS give us new addresses to go check out and dont know that it's his strung out drug dealer that he gave his car to for a fix..........
I dont know how people are around you, but up here in Michiagn they act REAL stupid when taking there cars.........I was standing in front of a 94' mustang when while my partner was backing up to it, debtor inside the car with his 2 yearold son on his lap, when he decided that jail time and endangering his son sounded good.........he slammed the car into drive, with the drivers door still open.....ran into me, i fell on the hood and hung onto the windsheild wipers for dear life.......he slammed into the neon parked in front of him and tore off down the street with me on the hood and his son on his lap......bout 13 or 14 blocks of him swerving trying to get me off and doing fishtails around corners he finally stopped and let me off...........ATTEMP TO COMMIT MURDER WITH A MOTOR VEHICLE.....not a good day in the end for him.......it doesnt matter HOW smart you are...in this bizz there is ALWAYS the chance of getting shot, or hurt on every single repo your on.....no matter if your in BEVERLY HILLS or DETROIT........ive had a priest,minister's, several people who work in churches come out shooting or at me with a baseball bat or the like........not every repo is sitting nice and open in the middle of the street ....sometimes you gotta grow some ballz and venture into the back yard up behind the house and hope you make it out alive..........I work on commision.....If i drive by a house that has a car up in the backyard and you can see people up inside night after night, day after day and just leave it there, the bank is gunna be pissed that we just leave it there, RIGHT..??....they might even close the account out with us and issue it with another agency............the stupid comment was just worng- - - you've been around the game for 20 years....im sure you can sit down and talk about all the stories you've heard for days and days.......Im not PSYCHIC and by no means do I want to die either but you just cant predict what people will do or act......

Don't take it so personal kirk.. you know as well as I do that there are alot of prople that get into the repo business cause they think that they are fonna be all bad ass.. then comes the reality of it... when I say bad things happen to stupid people I am talking about the repo agents that break into peoples garages, the one that see the crack whore sitting on the fromt porch and yells at her as he walking up the drive then wonders why her pimp comes out and put a gun to his or there is my favorite that the once that jumped the fence at the nation of islam and wonders why the police won't press charges against the guy that was swinging a bat at him... oh and just do you know i haven't only worked for a bank my parents had a repo company for several years before the stress got to be to much and then my sister started her own company and took over her business... yes I know what alot of agents go thru but the ones that don't think about are the ones that usually end up getting seriously injured. Sorry if offened you in any way kirk, that was not my intention.
