#1 It is not legal to run a small block in NHRA pro stock
#2 It is not legal to run a small block in NHRA Funny car
#3 it is not legal to run a small block in NHRA top fuel
#4 Melt Decker smashed Pat Musi's ass with a 461 SBC a few times before getting hit with weight. Musi runs a 706 on 3 stages. The power to weight on a SBC in that class is not even close to fair
#5 Scott Merkle is kickin ass his first year in NSCA PS. Tony C. screwed the being of the season up being Musi's right hand man with a 2 car team. Again Merkel is racing at the new SBC weight
#6 The only fair comparision is S/M were we race weight to CID. No BBC or SBC weight break.. Winner for 5 years running... SBC.. With this being a mostly BBC class
#7 We all ready had a SBC vs BBC race at the CFSC with 2 SBC vs 2 BBC... both cases....

Small Block Chevy's!!!

But the BBC guys still continue to live in denial!!!

As Gene Fulton once said. If a class lets you build a small block and they keep the rules fair. You would have to be an idiot to build a big block

And to add to the Moran deal.. Moran's car is not legal to race ANYWHERE in the world. It is NOT LEGAL!! Lynch's 427 CID SB twin turbo is!!! 6.39 is what he runs at legal weight in using legal rules!!!

If we are going to compare.. keep it fair!!!

See these guys fall quick.. The only thing they have to back them up is "Well a 812 CID motor will always make more power than a 283"

But they never say.. "Well if you build a 460 CID small block and a 460 CID big block the SBC will always make more power with a more restictive head"

Them BBC put frigen 500 CFM flowing heads on a 440 CID motor and still cant make what a SBC can with 350 CFM flowing heads..

And for Pro Stock.. Since the only thing we can compare is Pro Stock vs Pro Stock Truck.. How is it possible for a little 358 N/A motor to make more HP pre/CID than a 500 CID BBC with only 3 years of R & D? Pro Stock has been playing with these BC for 40 years now.. Are they impressive.. YES.. But I think a 358 N/A making a 1040 HP is a little more impressive than a 500 CID motor making 1300... Looks at the power to CID... Let us build a 500 CID small block for that class... You should see why they made a rue against them.... :D :D :D

Listen Monty, The point is your BIG small block can't make the overall power a BBC can. Afterall that's the what were talking about here. What gets the car down the track faster. REduce your sbc to the size of 15 hp craftman ridinfg lawn mower and I'll race ya with that, uder your lodgic!!!

No, because it's really not worth the time, there will be no winners, everyone has there opinion. I just thought Monty made some good points.
