No question, I would never disagree. But bigger does not always mean better. I would also say that you can make more power per CI with a smallblock, not more horsepower, more per CI. Who tuned most of Moran's cars ?? Answer: John Meany, the same person that tuned my motor and helped talk me into a smallblock. I actually perfer to be the underdog. By the way I tow with a Duramax Diesel. But I am not going to run one at the track.

700 inches will always make more power than 400 inches. And let me correct you, Meany helped Moran get his fuel injection down a while ago. Meany does not tune on the car now or help with the fuel injection. And by your less cubic inch theory.. why aren't you trying to set the world of fire with a 5 hp briggs in your car???

Last point then it will be dropped, I absolutly agree that 700 ci will make more HP than 400 ci, that goes without saying. The point is that you can make more per ci with a SB, my motor makes 2.07 hp per ci NA, I have not seen alot of BB that can do that easily without power adders or Nitro. That is all, I like to debate, (there is no offense ment by any of this)
It all comes down to what you perfer. That is what is great everyone has a different perspective. ~ Jason

Easy Jason, Kevin was just messing around, thats what we do on his forum. If you will look back through all the forum pages you will see that it is a game with everyone regarding big block vs. small block.

Please don't get offended on this forum, these are a bunch of GREAT PEOPLE here and all of them would help you in a heart beat.

But the fact of the matter is if bigger wasn't better you would see pro stockers, pro mod, funny cars, dragsters, pro street, out law pro street, nostalgia pro street etc... ALL running small blocks

Monty has a great running big small block as do many others. Good luck with your program

I am not running any of those classes and more than likely never will
(Since they all run BB's !!) LOL

It is very impressive what the NHRA guys can do with only 500 CI though, isn't it ???

Yes it is Jason those 500 CI motor are awesome but not many here can afford 100,000.00 for a Johnson or Schmidt motor thats why there's NOS. But I will agree with you that in my opinion there is nothing more exciding to hear and see than a small block powered super stock, c/a, L/M etc... but when it comes down to horsepower per $$$$ I have to go with a big block.

Jason post a picture of your car it looks nice

If you look back into the threads,on page # 3 in the "Just wanted to say hello" thread. There is a picture of my motor. It is just a picture of the motor, but what else is a car, a support structure for a motor! ~ Jason
