You had a heim broken and the ladder bar didn't flop around? That's scary. Sounds like you might not have enough timing taken out all the way around. If you get the digital 7 you might want to try running your timing the opposite of what I think you are writing here. Pull more timing out to control tire spin on the launch and curve it in from there. Just some thoughts.

The heim broke right at the neck on one side so it still was "tied" together. Just really really sloppy. Remember, this is a leaf spring car (floating) so they helped in locating the rear end some and the other ladder bar held the rearend from rotating. Though, that heim joing is no longer round either and both are being replaced. On that note, www.rodendsupply.com has good pricing on QA1 rod ends.

As for the timing, that is exactly what I want to do. Drop some timing out on the initial launch to help with the tires.

Maybe someday I'll be able to get a Digital 7.

Or you can just put some real suspension under that car and quit messing around with it........
