I was at Costco and splurged on a nice telescope. It has a computer built in and moves the telescope to position for you.

So I drove out to Troy, MI tonight, since Royal oak has a ton of light pollution.

After a few minutes of setting it up, I told it to go to Jupiter.

And then..... There it was! I could see the planet with it's stripes and 4 of it's moons.

yup, i'm a geek. But it was cool :)

The 4 moons I could see seemed to be perfectly in line from my view.

It wasnt quite as big and clear, but looked just like this: http://juno.wisc.edu/Images/using/Home/ ... 30_RED.jpg

:) 8)

Troy is better than Royal Oak?

You should go up to Ortonville. When you turn the lights out up there, it's DARK!!

Same with me! I told my neighbor she had a mole on her left butt cheek she should have checked. She got all pi$$ed off and I spent the weekend in
the clink. You can't please some people. Image
